The Sparwood Fire Department currently maintains a fleet of seven vehicles, including three triple combination pumpers (one with a 50' telesquirt aerial device), one rescue unit, one tactical support unit, a command vehicle, and antique fire truck "Old Red".

Engine 3 - 2001 International

Engine 3 is the primary engine unit responding from the Main Hall.

Rescue 1 - 1999 International
  • 250 IGPM P.T.O. driven "Hale" Pump
  • 200 US Gallon Tank
  • "Akron" built-in foam eductor system
  • Crew Capacity (5)

 

Carrying the "Jaws of Life", rescue tools, rope gear and additional SCBA bottles, Rescue 1 is the first-out unit to all Motor Vehicle incidents, rescue operations and medical assistance requests from the Main Hall.

Ladder 1 responds from the main hall. It is generally the third unit to roll for any structure fires behind Engines 2 and 3.

Engine 2 - 1991 Pierce

  • 2-1/2" Built-in Moniter

Engine 2 is the first-responding unit out of the North Hall to all fire calls.

EV 3 - 1980 GMC Sierra Crew Cab
  • Crew Capacity (6)

 

EV-3 is the tactical support unit based in the North hall. It functions as a secondary rescue unit, personnel/equipment hauler, canteen and support vehicle as needed.

Old Red - 1961 International
Originally belonging to the Natal Fire Department, "Old Red" is now used for parades, community events and public relations functions.
