Placement into the Red Cross Swim Program depends on many variables including age, skill, proficiency, previous experience, and readiness. The attached chart is a guideline only.
RED CROSS SWIM PRESCHOOL
(6 month – 5 years)
The new Red Cross swim preschool program is a 7 – level stand – alone program allowing swimmers to enter at various levels based on age and ability. Kids will enjoy the animal theme and mascots, which have been added to enhance learning and fun.

RED CROSS SWIM KIDS
Red Cross Swim Kids has been built from the solid AquaQuest program, with added skills and advanced goals. It is designed for children ages 6 and older, and includes 10 levels with program content development around three core content areas and solid progressions.

AGES 8 & UP
JUNIOR LIFEGUARD
Action packed fun, friends can join together, and only personal success is recognized. These are the hallmarks of the Junior Lifeguard Program. A unique aquatic alternative for those kids who love the water and who want more than just “lessons”. The Junior Lifeguard Program keeps kids interested and active in aquatics, especially those caught between levels. This program designed by the Lifesaving Society is a 3 level pre-Bronze award program which includes Water Proficiency, First Aid, and Rescues.

AGES 9 & UP
SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING
This program consists of 10 Star Levels and 7 Superstar Levels. In order to achieve these standards the swimmers must perform pre-practiced figures in front of a qualified examiner. Advantages of synchronized swimming: Fun, Variety, and Challenge. Allows for use of music. Develops water orientation and aquatics.

ADULTS
ADULT LESSONS
This program is for all adults regardless of their swimming abilities. The program will follow the Red Cross Adult Swim curriculum. Whether it is the basics of swimming, stroke correction, or just improving your fitness level through swimming our instructors will work with you to achieve these goals.
