Q) How much is the rent? A) Rates are calculated in proportion to your
income. Low to moderate income
seniors pay 30% of their monthly income towards rent, the remainder is
subsidized through BC Housing. Q) Do you have to know how much money I have in the
bank? A) Yes. We
are required to have a complete picture of your finances, however, this
information is strictly confidential.
Q) Am I required having the one meal per day? A) Yes. The Care Component is mandatory. This guarantees that apartments are
available for those who really need or want supportive housing. Q) What is the cost of the Care Component? A) $210.00 for one person, $380.00 for a
couple. The Care Component provides
the one meal per day as well as access to all other features in the building. Q) What is included in the rent? A) Heat, parking with plug in. Q) Do you offer home support or nursing care? A) Home support workers do come into the building as
well as the public health nurse, however, arrangements for these services are
made by the resident. Q) Can I have visitors? A) This is your home. You are welcome to have visitors as often as you like. We do ask that visitors staying overnight
are made known due to security. Q) Do you allow pets? A) A resident is allowed one cat or one dog (under
18 inches tall) on the main and second floors only. Pets are not allowed in common areas. |
